That movie just screams screensaver on SO many levels! Take a look at the Matrix shot with the code in random yet somewhat godlike and destined patterns that could only be surmised as the meaning of life, existence, a heartbeat, some sense of order within the chaos! It’s beautiful, really. Not once would anyone believe that computer coding would look that awesome. But for some reason, it does.
The problem, though, in this internet-heavy market of imagery and cult classic imagery and marketing, one can only create certain themes or posters so many times before we simply know what they are, accept what they are, and then get immensely tired of it. So you see Keanu Reeves in those shades! Okay. There’s another one. That’s the same guy–only he’s in a different pose. Wonderful.
How about something different, people? Can’t we see a little bit of inventiveness, originality?
The same goes for screensavers. You can bet there are probably dozens of these mindless screensavers of the same theme: the “Matrix” films. Whoop-de-do. As cool as the coding is, you can only see it so many times before you get kind of sick of it. So we need something new to really get us into it.
Enter: the “Endless Corridors” Matrix Screensaver! True technology and a science fiction feel to your desktop or laptop in the way only the Matrix can bring.
What it is, is a 3D rendering of the infamous Code with a dash of suspenseful Brian De Palma and a circle of eternity to round out the feeling. Hence the so-called endless corridors. If you watch “The Matrix: Reloaded” and “The Matrix Revolutions”, you’d know about the endless corridors. The loop is ingenious, though, as each part of it ends with an agent shooting you directly in the head! Pretty gripping. The graphics are actually quite good, and the music that plays is edgy. It is definitely not your everyday Matrix code screensaver.
